1. CONDITIONS: 1.1 All Staff of Nursing Unit.
2. PURPOSE: 2.1 To minimize the complications of diabetes risks associated with regime treatment and poor patients' compliance.
3. DEFINITIONS: 3.1 Subcutaneous injection: is a way administering of subcutaneous medication as access for regular doses to treat some diseases as diabetes.

5. POLICY: 5.1 A Doctor's order is necessary for Subcutaneous medication as global standard of medication administration.
6. PROCEDURES: 6.1 Check Doctor's order with your colleague Gather supplies:
6.1.1 sterile gloves.

6.1.3 Perform hand washing.
6.1.4 Cleanse selected insertion sit surface with an alcohol swab for 15 seconds using friction and a twisting motion. Allow to dry.
6.1.5 Time of leaving.
6.1.6 Grasp a fold of skin and while holding the pebbled sides of wings, insert needle at a 30-45 angle to full length in one quick, smooth movement.
6.1.7 Cover the site with plaster.
6.1.8 Needle should be thrown in the sharp container.
6.1.9 Remove gloves and perform hand washing.
6.1.10 Document subcutaneous injection administration on the Medication Administration Record.
7. RESPONSIBILITIES 7.1 All staff of Nursing Unit.
