Subject: Suspension of Travel to and from the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Uganda, and the Republic of South Sudan. Reference: 1. Article No. (23) of Civil Aviation Law. Background: In line with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to ensuring the safety of its citizens and wishing to travel abroad, and in view of the outbreak of the Ebola virus in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, the Republic of Uganda, and the Republic of South Sudan. Instructions: All Air Carriers shall comply with the following: 1. Suspend permitting Saudi citizens to travel to the following countries: the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Uganda, and the Republic of South Sudan. 2. Suspend entry into the Kingdom for all travelers coming from the countries mentioned in Paragraph (1). This also includes travelers from other countries if they have been in any of those countries within the 21 days before arriving in the Kingdom. 3. The following categories shall be exempt from Paragraph (2): Saudi citizens, Diplomats, Official delegations, State guests, Guests of government Entities and their accompanying family members, and Crew members, provided that they comply with the health measures and protocols issued by the Public Health Authority to prevent the importation of the disease. 4. All Air Carriers operating in the airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Private Aviation, shall comply with circulars and procedures issued by GACA.
