To: All airlines operating in the airports of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Private Aviation. Subject: Preventive measures for public health emergencies due to mpox. Reference: 1. Article No. (23) of the Civil Aviation Law. Background: According to the World Health Organization (WHO) announcement regarding mpox as a public health emergency (PHEIC). Instructions: 1. All Airlines are required to inform all passengers and Crew members traveling to the following countries: (Democratic Republic of the Congo, Republic of the Congo, Central African Republic, The Republic of Burundi, the Republic of Rwanda, The Republic of Uganda, and the Republic of Kenya), to comply with the following preventive measures: a. Avoid contact with people who are sick or showing symptoms of illness and the materials they use. b. Do not interact with, consume, or prepare wild animals, whether alive or dead. c. Make sure to receive two doses of the vaccine before traveling if you are in a high-risk group, such as individuals with more than one sexual partner or those recently diagnosed with a sexually transmitted disease. d. If you experience symptoms of illness, such as a rash, seek medical care and avoid contact with others. 2. Failure to comply with circulars issued by GACA is an explicit violation of the government's orders. Violators will be held responsible, and legal procedures will be initiated against them.
