Subject: The obligation not to ship animal consignments without obtaining an import permission from the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Reference: Letter of Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Animal Wealth No. (35/179624) dated 23/1/1440AH. Background: The above letter includes a requirement of the competent authority in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia of refrain from shipping animal consignments without obtaining an import permit. Instructions: All Air Operators operating at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's airports are obliged not to ship animal consignments into the country, until obtaining an import permission issued by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. In case any consignments through carriers without import permissions, the carrier will be obliged to return the consignment to the country of origin.
