1. CONDITIONS:
1.1 Laboratory, Internal Medicine, Nursing, Psychiatry, Dental, and X-Ray department
2. PURPOSE:
2.1 To prevent the transmission of pathogenic organism by airborne and droplet routes.
3. DEFINITIONS:
3.1 To maintain a healthy safe atmosphere and control airborne and droplet illness spreading.

5. POLICY:
5.1 It is the University of Jeddah Medical Center policy to follow respiratory protective measures will be observed with individuals having pathogenic respiratory secretions.
6. PROCEDURES:
6.1 With clean hands, wear mask
6.2 Place mask under the chin and cover the nose and avoid unnecessary handling
6.3 To remove mask, wash hands and unfasten. Place mask in trash bag
6.4 When masks are indicated, should be worn only once and discarded in the appropriate receptacles
6.5 N95 mask not be reused to be discarded outside isolation room
6.6 Masks should not be allowed to dangled around the neck or worn away from the isolation room
6.7 Wash hands after removing mask.
7. RESPONSIBILITIES:
7.1 Accountable to the infection prevention control practitioner/committee
