Background: Article (28) of the executive regulations of the low of pharmaceutical establishments and preparations issued by Royal Decree No. (M/31) dated 1/6/1425H stipulates (prohibiting of entry of medicines, pharmaceuticals, herbal products and products of medical claim that are requested from abroad in person through the Internet or express mail without prior permission) Instructions: All airlines headed to Saudi Arabia airports are obliged not to ship any medicines, pharmaceuticals, herbal products and medical products to kingdom without prior import approval from SFDA by sending import request by an e-mail (Import.drug@sfda.gov.sa) Any violation of this will subject carrier's to legal action.
